Job Description

As a Legal Trainee, you will take part in a 12-month learning journey, with the aim of becoming familiar with JDE Peet’s business processes from the Legal & Compliance department perspective.

This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, multinational environment, working closely with senior legal professionals and cross-functional teams.

  • You will support legal operations across multiple jurisdictions within CEE region, including Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland and Baltics.      
  • You have the opportunity to rotate through Corporate Affairs as well, gaining one-of-a-kind combined knowledge that is very valuable and rare on the market.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of in-house lawyer activities and processes, together with hands-on business acumen.
  • Benefit from continuous on-the-job experience and input.
  • Gain insight into the FMCG industry and legal operations within a global organization.
  • Contribute to real projects that support business integrity and strategic growth.

For this role as a Legal Trainee  we’re looking for someone who has the following skills and experience:

  • Law graduate or final-year law student with approximately 1–2 years of relevant professional experience, including internships or traineeships.
  • Excellent English proficiency, both written and spoken.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to synthesize information and identify key insights.
  • Comfortable using MS Office and eager to learn new systems and tools.
  • Proactive, practical, and business-oriented mindset, with a can-do attitude and willingness to move tasks forward even when not all information is immediately available.
  • Comfortable working in a multicultural, cross-border environment and collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
