Job Description

1. Quality System Compliance

  • Maintain and update all valid certifications QMS, FSSC, GMP, HACCP, Halal (JAKIM/JAINJ &
  • BPJPH), Kosher, SNI, USFDA, and other applicable certifications.
  • Monitor certificate validity dates and ensure timely renewals and submissions.
  • Act as the primary contact with certification bodies and external regulatory agencies.
  • Ensure certification scope is aligned with business activities and products.
  • Support registration of new products/materials with certification bodies.
  • Work closely with QA, QE, Operations, Procurement, R&D, and Regulatory teams to ensure compliance with certification requirements.
  • Provide certification status updates to management.
  • Support new project/product initiatives with required certification documentation.
  • Initiation of latest version of MOC to mitigate the changes impacting Quality and Food Safety.

2. Internal & External Audit Support

  • Assist internal audit program, always ensuring audit readiness.
  • Coordinate and represent the plant during external certification and surveillance audits.
  • Monitor, track, and ensure timely closure of audit findings and CAPA across all departments.

3. HACCP Program Support

  • Coordinating HACCP reviews aligned with certification body requirements and updated as part of
  • certification maintenance.
  • Provide support on HACCP studies, hazard analysis and verification activities to maintain certification compliance.

4. Certification & Compliance Coordination

  • • Coordinate the audit program (planning, scheduling, execution, and follow-up) to ensure readiness
  • for external certification audits.
  • • Monitor the progress of CAPA related to internal and external audits, ensuring timely closure.
  • • Provide support cross-department teams during internal and external audits.

5. Audit & Documentation

  • Prepare documentation for external certification audits and surveillance audits.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date certification files, records, and reports.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to collect required documentation for certification purposes.
  • Track and follow up CAPA (Corrective & Preventive Actions) related to certification findings.
  • Assist in developing and updating policies, SOPs, and work instructions linked to certification standards.

6. Quality Culture & Operational Engagement

  • Attend MOS Pillar meetings; contribute to robustness implementation and checks and RCA effectiveness.
  • Activate the Quality Pillar within MOS, driving engagement and alignment with global requirements.
  • Participate continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce non-conformities, and improve RFT performance.
  • Drive horizontal expansion of improvement ideas across production lines and embed them into standards
  • Support Manufacturing Operating System (MOS) activities to deliver Food Safety/Quality Culture engagement and ongoing improvements Verify implementation of actions including lessons learned from other manufacturing plants.
  • Drive horizontal expansion of improvement ideas in the plant across lines and embed in OPLs or standards.
  • Deliver induction/refresher training for new joiners, contractors, and shop floor associates.
  • Share food safety topics and awareness programs to build competency.

7. Financial & Operational Responsibilities

  • Monitor AOP, OPEX, and CAPEX within the Quality team.
  • Ensure strict financial discipline to prevent overspending and maintain compliance with
  • organizational requirements.
  • Assume responsibilities as assigned by management and contribute to organizational ad hoc tasks when required.

8. Continuous Learning & Team Competence

  • Identify and drive opportunities for improvement in quality systems and training programs.
  • Facilitate competence development of Quality Technicians and team members through coaching and knowledge transfer.
  • Engage and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders on quality and compliance matters.

9. Quality Oversight & Authority

  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders on quality and compliance matters.
  • Contribute to organizational ad hoc tasks related to quality improvement and compliance.
  • Exercise authority to stop the production line when food safety or quality issues arise.

Qualifications

Here's what we're looking for: 

  • Academic Program: University Degree (Bachelors) or higher in Food Technology,
    Microbiology, Chemistry
  • Experienced: 5+ years' experience in Manufacturing environment
  • Skillset: Knowledge of quality and food safety standards and practices (ISO/ FSSC 22000, IFS, HACCP, GMP). 
  • Knowledge in statistical applications Ability to problem solve with high accuracy and decision quality
  • Personal traits: You have a structured approach, a driven and energetic personality, excellent communication and people skills, and the ability to work both in a team and independently.
